About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join Crown Oil's Commercial Sales team.

This is a consultative, relationship-led role focused on winning and developing larger commercial accounts across the UK. Rather than competing on price alone, you'll help customers make informed purchasing decisions by providing market insight, commercial expertise and tailored solutions.

The majority of your time will be spent creating new opportunities through proactive outbound business development. Managing the full sales cycle, you'll build long-term customer partnerships while introducing Crown Oil's market-leading portfolio of commercial fuels, lubricants, fuel management and environmental services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Business Development or Account Manager from the fuel distribution industry—or someone selling complex solutions into industrial or commercial sectors where fuel and energy are business-critical—who is looking to take the next step in their career.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Generate and develop new business opportunities through proactive outbound business development.
  • Engage senior stakeholders to understand customers' operations, fuel requirements and commercial priorities, delivering tailored solutions that add long-term value.
  • Manage complex, consultative sales opportunities from initial contact through to implementation and ongoing account development.
  • Provide customers with fuel market insight, pricing trends and commercial guidance to support informed purchasing decisions.
  • Promote Crown Oil's portfolio of commercial fuels, HVO, diesel, gas oil, AdBlue, lubricants, tank telemetry, fuel management and environmental services, identifying opportunities to deliver additional value across the wider business.
  • Represent Crown Oil at customer meetings, site visits, networking events and industry exhibitions where appropriate.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts and CRM records.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
