About the Company
Referment is working with a specialist UK commercial motor insurer that distributes fleet products through insurance brokers. The business supports a varied range of commercial fleets and brings underwriting, claims and product expertise together to help brokers place and manage their clients' risks.
The Role
You will manage business development across the South East and East of England, building productive broker relationships and converting a disciplined pipeline of new and existing opportunities. This is a territory role involving both face-to-face and virtual broker meetings, supported by close collaboration with new-business and renewal colleagues.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers across your region, including prospecting and onboarding potential new partners.
- Develop a consistent pipeline of new and existing business opportunities and convert activity into profitable growth.
- Re-engage previously quoted or lapsed opportunities where there is a credible route to conversion.
- Support brokers with questions across new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments, coordinating with internal teams to find appropriate solutions.
- Keep CRM records and pipeline reporting accurate and current.
- Monitor market developments and share useful insight with colleagues.
- Conduct business in line with internal processes and insurance regulation.

What We're Looking For
- Experience in insurance sales, business development or broker relationship management, ideally gained within commercial motor or fleet insurance.
- A strong understanding of how brokers operate and what fleet clients need from their insurer.
- Evidence of meeting or exceeding commercial targets while maintaining durable relationships.
- The organisation and self-direction to manage a regional territory and regular broker meetings.
- Cert CII, or a willingness to work towards it.
- Clear communication, strong networking skills and a collaborative approach with internal teams.
