Crown Energy is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to play a key role in the growth of our commercial renewable energy offering.

This is a senior, hands-on business development opportunity focused primarily on commercial solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS).

We're looking for someone who already understands the commercial renewables market and can identify opportunities, open new customer relationships, develop a credible pipeline and take opportunities through the full commercial sales cycle.

As this is a developing area of the business, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to influence how we go to market, where we focus commercially and how we develop our customer and industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new B2B opportunities across commercial solar PV, battery storage and related energy solutions.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with commercial and industrial customers, EPCs, contractors, developers and strategic partners.
  • Understand customer energy requirements and identify appropriate commercial solutions.
  • Work alongside technical and operational teams to develop project proposals and commercial offers.
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals and business cases.
  • Manage opportunities through the complete sales process, from initial engagement and qualification through to negotiation and close.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts.
  • Develop new routes to market and strategic partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline information, forecasts and CRM records.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities across solar and energy storage.
  • Represent Crown Energy at customer meetings, networking events and relevant industry exhibitions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
