Business Development Manager – Consultant Relations
London Hybrid
£30-35k Basic + Uncapped Commission (OTE £80-£100k)
Do you know how to talk to surgeons and how to sell to them?
We're recruiting on behalf of a newly refurbished, high-end private hospital in central London, with a sister clinic on Harley Street, for a driven Business Development Manager to build a base of surgeons and consultants using their theatres and consulting rooms.
The Opportunity
This client has just completed a major refurbishment and now has premium theatre and consulting-room capacity across two of London's best locations. They need someone who can go out, build relationships with surgeons and consultants, and convert them into regular, loyal users of the space.
What You'll Be Doing
- Proactively networking with and approaching surgeons and consultants (predominantly cosmetic/aesthetic, plus other day-case specialties) to introduce them to the facilities
- Hosting tours and converting interest into signed, regular bookings
- Building a pipeline largely from scratch; an existing surgeon network is a bonus, not a requirement
- Managing relationships with surgeons already on board, keeping them happy and retained
- Spotting gaps in bookings early and filling them before they become lost revenue

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
