What You'll Be Doing

At Avon, we're looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to help accelerate the growth of our Contract Manufacturing business. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying and winning new co-manufacturing clients, guiding them through onboarding, and supporting the successful ramp-up of production programs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll transform strategic opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships, ensuring a seamless client experience while delivering sustainable revenue and volume growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, driving business development, and bringing complex projects to life in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying, prospecting, and engaging potential co-manufacturing clients aligned with Avon’s Contract Manufacturing strategy and value proposition.
  • Building and managing a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities to support continuous business growth.
  • Converting prospects into signed contracts and delivering against client acquisition, revenue, and production volume targets.
  • Managing the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients, from contract signature through to stable production.
  • Coordinating onboarding activities across multiple functions, including Marketing, R&D, Sourcing, Planning, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and Finance.
  • Driving production ramp-up and supporting clients in achieving agreed volume milestones.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand product portfolios, categories, and production volumes within existing manufacturing partnerships.

  • Building trusted client relationships and ensuring a high standard of customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Supporting the negotiation and execution of commercial agreements in partnership with the Business Development Lead.
  • Ensuring commercial commitments are translated into operationally viable and financially sustainable implementation plans.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, including client acquisition, revenue growth, production volumes, margins, and retention.
  • Providing insights into pipeline performance, conversion rates, forecasting, and capacity requirements.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, emerging brands, competitor activity, and market opportunities to support future growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
