Business Development Manager
A leading privately owned workwear and corporatewear supplier is looking for a business development manager to win new contracts. The role is field-based and home-working, and flexible on location: anywhere in the Midlands, the South East or the South West. You choose where to focus.
Why this role
- Over 60 people on one site, with embroidery, print, stock-holding and dispatch all done in-house, so you can promise delivery and know it will happen
- The division has three years of strong growth behind it and plenty of room left to grow
- You’d join early, as the second salesperson, and help shape what comes next
- What you win is seen directly by the owners, not lost in a national number
- You’ll have support and direction from a Head of Sales who built the service and has done the job himself, with marketing and an internal team generating leads behind you

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
