Role Description
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to take ownership of consultative B2B sales opportunities from initial engagement through to signed agreement. This is a genuine business development role, focused on understanding complex commercial challenges, shaping tailored solutions and winning high-value clients as the business continues to expand into the enterprise market.
You will manage a pipeline generated through SDR activity, inbound demand, referrals and HubSpot co-selling, alongside targeted prospecting supported by AI tools. Working closely with consulting and delivery teams, you will have ownership of your commercial pipeline, structured coaching and the opportunity to progress within a growing sales function. The role is suited to a commercially driven individual who enjoys building relationships, managing complex opportunities and delivering measurable revenue growth.

Role Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a pipeline of opportunities generated through SDR activity, inbound enquiries, referrals, HubSpot co-selling and targeted outbound prospecting.
- Conduct consultative discovery and qualify opportunities effectively, identifying client business challenges, commercial priorities and potential value.
- Own the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to negotiation and signed agreement, with a focus on winning larger and more complex clients.
- Collaborate with consulting and delivery teams to shape tailored proposals, present solutions and ensure a smooth handover following contract signature.
- Build strong relationships with HubSpot sales representatives, developing co-selling opportunities and a consistent flow of qualified enterprise prospects.
- Work alongside customer success teams to identify opportunities for account expansion and strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, manage pipeline progression and provide reliable revenue forecasts and deal insights during commercial reviews.
- Use AI-enabled prospecting tools, including HubSpot’s Prospecting Agent, to support targeted research, outreach and opportunity development.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in B2B business development or a comparable sales role, with a track record of managing opportunities and achieving commercial targets.
- Strong consultative selling skills, including discovery, qualification, proposal development and the ability to manage deals through to completion.
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and translating business challenges into compelling commercial solutions.
- Self-motivated and resilient, with strong organisation, follow-through and the ability to manage an independent sales pipeline.
- Hands-on CRM experience, including pipeline management, sales activity tracking and accurate forecasting.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience selling consulting, professional services, technology solutions or SaaS within a complex B2B environment.
- Practical HubSpot experience, particularly within Sales Hub, CRM or the HubSpot partner ecosystem.
- Experience using AI-enabled prospecting tools or working with partner-led and co-selling opportunities.
