Are you an experienced B2B sales professional who enjoys winning new business, building relationships and helping a sales team perform at its best?

We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join an established and growing B2B organisation based just outside of Huntingdon.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who still enjoys being hands-on with sales but is also ready to take greater responsibility for driving activity, coaching colleagues and helping shape the wider new business strategy.

You’ll take ownership of your own pipeline, identify and target new commercial opportunities and manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to negotiation, close and onboarding. Alongside your own sales activity, you’ll provide day-to-day guidance and support to other members of the Business Development team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing and delivering a focused new business strategy across key target sectors.
  • Proactively generating new opportunities through calls, email outreach, networking, referrals and customer meetings.
  • Managing the complete sales process from first contact and needs analysis through to proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Building strong relationships with decision makers across purchasing, operations and finance.
  • Identifying customer requirements and presenting commercially appropriate products and solutions.
  • Working towards agreed revenue and gross profit targets while maintaining healthy margins.
  • Leading daily sales priorities and supporting colleagues with prospecting, opportunity management and closing techniques.
  • Producing accurate quotations, proposals, tenders and commercial responses.
  • Maintaining a strong and accurate CRM pipeline with clear next actions and realistic close dates.
  • Providing sales forecasts and identifying opportunities that need additional support.
  • Working closely with Marketing, Purchasing, Operations and Account Management to ensure a smooth customer journey.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow successful customer relationships across additional products, sites and group businesses.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
