Business Development Manager Vacancy
A vacancy has arisen within our Commercial Team at our Western Division, Widnes site in Cheshire for a Business Development Manager.
About the Role
Reporting to the Divisional Director, this role requires an enthusiastic, professional and personable individual with a confident, approachable manner and excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will represent the Company across the Northwest of England and North Wales, developing and maintaining strong relationships with trade professionals, businesses and individuals within the construction industry. This will include working with builders’ merchants, building contractors, house builders, paving contractors and other businesses that purchase and utilise our concrete building blocks and concrete block paving products.

Principle Responsibilities will include:
- Maintain, expand and manage trading relationships with a portfolio of existing and long-standing customers and account holders
- Identify growth opportunities to develop and nurture business relationships and drive revenue through sales with potential new customers
- Develop market intelligence, research and identify potential business leads
- Working with our Estimating and Technical Office teams, provide quotations and prices for our products and technical advice
- Represent the Company at Trade and Customer Events, promoting our products and services

Working Hours
The role is typically based on a 37.5-hour working week, with flexibility around start and finish times to accommodate travel requirements and customer needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may also be required to support trade shows, customer events and other business activities.
