Business Development Manager – Data Centre Fibre Solutions (UK & Europe)

Join a Global Market Leader and Build a New Division from the Ground Up

£60,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

A major global manufacturer of fibre optic and connectivity solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to establish and grow its Data Centre Fibre business across the UK and Europe.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a brand-new market initiative, with the autonomy to shape strategy, build customer relationships and create a significant revenue stream across one of the fastest-growing sectors in Europe.

The business has a strong international presence, extensive manufacturing capability and a long-standing reputation for delivering fibre optic and communications infrastructure solutions worldwide.

The Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing the UK and European market for single-mode fibre solutions within the data centre sector.

Working closely with consultants, distributors, contractors, and end-users, you'll drive specification, build strategic partnerships, and position the business as a preferred supplier for major data centre projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy across the UK and Europe.
  • Drive product specification through M&E Consultants, Data Centre Design Consultants, and Engineering Practices.
  • Build relationships with hyperscalers, colocation providers, end users, and key stakeholders within the data centre ecosystem.
  • Identify, appoint, and develop distribution and reseller partners across Europe.
  • Generate and convert opportunities from early-stage design through to project delivery.
  • Manage complex sales cycles involving consultants, contractors, distributors, and end users.
  • Deliver market intelligence and help shape the long-term strategy for the division.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings throughout Europe.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
