Business Development Manager – Data Centre Infrastructure

Location: London – Hybrid
Salary: £60,000–£85,000 basic + £30k–£50k OTE

An established and growing infrastructure solutions business is looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to its sales team as part of its continued growth plans.

This is a genuine new-business role focused on the data-centre sector. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Identifying opportunities
  • Opening doors
  • Building senior relationships
  • Winning complex projects
  • Retaining ownership of the accounts you bring in and developing them over time

We’re looking for someone who has a strong understanding of the data-centre world. You’ll know the wider ecosystem, the different organisations involved in delivering data-centre projects and how opportunities develop across the market.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A proven track record in new-business sales
  • Strong knowledge of the data-centre market and wider ecosystem
  • Experience selling products, services or solutions into the data-centre sector
  • The drive and resilience to create opportunities rather than wait for leads
  • Confidence engaging senior commercial and technical stakeholders
  • Experience of consultative, project-led sales and longer sales cycles
  • A proactive, commercially sharp approach and genuine appetite to win

You may currently work for a supplier, consultancy, contractor or solutions business operating within the wider data-centre market.

What’s important is that you understand the market, know how the different players within it fit together and can use that knowledge and your relationships to identify and win new business.
