Business Development Manager - Datacentre Solutions
Nottingham | Field-based | 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday | Competitive Salary + Bonus

About the Role
We're looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across our Cables, Connectivity and Datacentre portfolio in the UK market.
In this role, you'll be responsible for expanding our customer base, increasing market share and driving sales growth across a range of leading vendor brands. Working closely with CMS Product Management, Sales and Marketing teams, you'll identify new opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships and deliver initiatives that drive both revenue and brand awareness.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating growth strategies and influencing business performance. You'll work with leading technology vendors, engage with customers across multiple channels and play a key role in the continued success of one of the UK's leading technology distributors.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive sales growth across the Cables, Connectivity and Datacentre portfolio within key customer markets, including VAR/MSP, installers, electrical wholesalers, independent retail and e-tail.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve quarterly objectives, KPIs and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers and internal stakeholders to identify and maximise growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with CMS Sales teams to increase product penetration, expand customer adoption and drive sell-out activities.
- Work with Marketing and Vendor partners to deliver campaigns, promotions and product launches that increase market awareness and demand.
- Provide product and sales training to CMS and customer sales teams, enabling them to effectively position solutions and generate new business.
- Manage sales pipelines and deliver accurate weekly forecasts and performance updates.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue through the CMS eCommerce platform and digital sales channels.

We're looking for someone who:
- Has a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Sales, Business Development or Product Management role.
- Has a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and generating new business opportunities.
- Is an excellent communicator with strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrates strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Is highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Is confident presenting to customers, vendors and internal teams.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within IT distribution, technology vendors, resellers or channel sales environments.
- Knowledge of cables, connectivity, networking or datacentre infrastructure solutions.
- Experience developing strategic growth plans and managing vendor relationships.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
