Role Description
As a Desk Based Business Development Manager at Guru Technology Limited, you will drive new business growth and nurture relationships with small and medium businesses across Northampton and the surrounding areas.

In this full-time hybrid role, you will spend part of your time in the Northampton office and part working from home, balancing client-facing activity with strategic planning.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Identify and qualify leads
- Conduct discovery calls and meetings
- Present tailored telecoms and technology solutions that address client challenges
- Prepare proposals
- Negotiate terms
- Close deals
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
- Report on pipeline and sales performance
Collaboration with marketing, operations, and support teams will be essential to ensure smooth onboarding, high customer satisfaction, and long-term account growth.
Salary
- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in business development, sales, or account management within telecommunications, IT, or related B2B services.
- Strong skills in lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management, including effective use of CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions in clear, accessible language.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding SMB needs and creating tailored solution offerings.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, technical, and customer support teams.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, managing time effectively between office-based and remote work.
- Experience in telecoms, connectivity, IT support, or cloud-based solutions is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in basic IT tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, online meeting platforms) and familiarity with digital sales channels.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented approach, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Valid right to work in the UK; a full driving licence and access
