Business Development Manager – Digital Forensics

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in Digital Forensics to join a growing organisation operating across both the public and private sectors. This is a relationship-led, commercially focused role where you will work closely with key decision-makers to develop new business opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships and increase the organisation’s presence within the digital forensics market.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities, particularly within the public sector, while working collaboratively with sales and marketing colleagues to support wider growth objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking, and other prospecting methods
  • Visiting public sector organisations to understand their challenges and identify opportunities to provide digital forensics solutions
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Researching and mapping target accounts and relevant contacts
  • Developing and executing business development strategies across public and private sector markets
  • Preparing and delivering tailored pitches, proposals, and presentations
  • Identifying emerging client challenges, industry developments, and market trends
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and creating opportunities for meaningful client engagement
  • Maintaining accurate prospect and opportunity information within the CRM
  • Working closely with sales and marketing teams to maximise commercial opportunities
  • Keeping up to date with developments within digital forensics, relevant technologies, and market trends
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed monthly and quarterly targets

About You

You will need:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working within the Digital Forensics sector
  • A proven track record of developing business within the public sector
  • Strong business development, relationship management, and consultative selling experience
  • Experience of account planning and stakeholder/persona mapping
  • Experience using CRM and lead-generation tools
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with colleagues across sales and marketing
  • A genuine interest in digital forensics and building long-term client relationships

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years' UK residency
  • Be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment and ongoing security vetting requirements in accordance with relevant national vetting procedures
