Job Title: Business Development Manager - Digital Marketing

Location: Manchester (Remote)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

The Client

Our client is a specialist digital marketing agency focused on delivering measurable growth for businesses through PPC and performance-led digital marketing. With a strong focus on results, they work closely with clients to understand their objectives, develop effective paid search strategies and generate a strong return on marketing investment. As the business continues to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to join the team and help expand their client base.

Key Responsibilities

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and winning new business, building relationships with decision-makers and introducing businesses to the agency's PPC and digital marketing services. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the sales process, from initial prospecting and generating leads through to conducting meetings, presenting solutions and closing new business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals and outbound activity.
  • Research prospective clients and identify businesses that could benefit from PPC and digital marketing.
  • Generate and qualify new leads and build a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Arrange and conduct meetings with business owners, directors and senior decision-makers.
  • Understand prospects' commercial objectives and identify opportunities where PPC can deliver measurable results.
  • Present our client's services and communicate the value of data-driven digital marketing.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact through to negotiation and close.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with new clients.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and regularly report on pipeline activity and performance.
  • Work closely with the PPC and wider digital marketing team to ensure a smooth handover of new clients.
  • Contribute ideas to improve the agency's business development strategy and growth.

What We're Looking For

You'll be a confident and commercially driven sales professional who enjoys winning new business and building relationships. We're particularly interested in people with experience in:

  • Business development, B2B sales or account acquisition.
  • Selling digital marketing services.
  • Prospecting and generating your own leads.
  • Selling to business owners, directors and senior decision-makers.
  • Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to closing.
  • Working towards revenue and new-business targets.
