Business Development Manager – Distributor & Channel Sales

Location: UK Remote – Home based with Travel

Salary: up to circa £70,000 per annum + Commission

Ref: 737UK

A successful international B2B organisation is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new business, expand distributor and wholesale networks and build long-term commercial relationships across the UK & Ireland.

Main Duties

  • Develop new B2B business across the assigned territories, with a strong focus on distributor and wholesale channels, managing the full sales cycle, developing strategic partnerships and achieving revenue targets.
  • Identify, win and develop distributors, wholesalers, OEMs and B2B customers.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, market research and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and commercial partners.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to negotiation, contract closure and account development.
  • Develop distributor and channel sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Present products, proposals and commercial solutions to customers and partners.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and develop long-term partnerships.
  • Identify cross-selling, upselling and new product opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and distributor performance.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions and customer meetings.
  • Travel regularly across the UK & Ireland, with occasional international travel.

The Candidate

  • Essential: Proven experience selling boxed, packaged or finished physical products through distributors or wholesalers.
  • Proven B2B business development and new business sales experience.
  • Strong distributor, wholesale or channel management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle and achieve revenue targets.
  • Experience developing new accounts, partnerships and routes to market.
  • Experience with OEMs, physical products or technical solutions would be advantageous.
  • Experience in environmental hygiene, water treatment, air quality or infection prevention would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Confident dealing with senior decision-makers and strategic partners.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and commercially focused.
  • Comfortable working remotely within an international team.
  • Good CRM and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Full, valid driving licence required.
  • Additional Italian, Dutch or Flemish would be advantageous.
