Description
Ainsworth Recruitment is working exclusively with a market-leading, specialist doctor recruitment agency, dedicated to providing high-quality locum and permanent medical professionals to NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers across the UK. A company that prides themselves on a deep understanding of the medical sector, and a commitment to compliance.

The Role
We are seeking a highly driven, results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead new business acquisition and strategically grow key client accounts. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional blend of commercial acumen, strong sales execution, and an in-depth, first-hand understanding of the UK medical environment—ideally from experience recruiting Doctors. This is a highly autonomous, hybrid role, requiring a consistent presence in our Central London office for collaboration and client meetings, alongside flexible remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Acquisition & Sales Execution
    • P&L Growth: Exceed demanding new business revenue targets and contribute significantly to the overall profitability of the division.
    • Strategic Hunting: Identify, prospect, and secure new high-value client accounts (NHS Trusts, private hospitals, clinical commissioning groups, etc.) across the UK.
    • Tender & Bid Management: Lead the end-to-end tender process, including RFI/RFP submissions, contract negotiation, and presentation to secure places on major national and regional frameworks.
    • Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust, accurate, and high-value sales pipeline using the company CRM system, ensuring timely conversion of leads to placement.
    • Consultative Selling: Develop and deliver compelling, bespoke staffing solutions that directly address client workforce challenges (e.g., specific vacancy shortages, cost reduction strategies).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
