Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive business growth and expand our market presence. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, develop client relationships, and support revenue growth through effective business development and sales initiatives. Strong communication, negotiation, relationship management, and commercial awareness will be essential to achieving the company’s growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and monitor industry trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to identify potential areas for business growth.
- Develop and execute business development plans to attract new clients and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with prospective clients, business partners, and key stakeholders.
- Manage leads and sales opportunities through CRM systems, maintaining accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
- Collaborate with marketing and other internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and promotional materials for prospective clients.
- Present products and services to clients, negotiate commercial terms, and support the successful conversion of opportunities into new business.
- Monitor competitor activity, market developments, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and support informed commercial decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, client communications, and business development activities.
- Support the development and implementation of long-term commercial strategies designed to achieve sustainable business growth.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives that improve client engagement, strengthen market positioning, and increase business opportunities.

Requirements
- Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, or a similar commercial position.
- Practical experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or comparable platforms.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyse commercial information, and identify potential business opportunities.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
- Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to respond effectively to changing market conditions and business requirements.
