JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager - Embedded Finance
SALARY: £61,344 - £80,080
LOCATION(S): London, Chester, Manchester, Leeds
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.
What you'll be doing
This is an opportunity to join one of the most exciting growth areas within Lloyds Banking Group and play a key role in helping expand our Embedded Finance business. Embedded Finance is transforming how customers access financial services, and we're investing in new partnerships, propositions and customer experiences that bring finance seamlessly into everyday journeys. As a Business Development Manager, you'll help identify, secure and develop commercial partnerships that support the continued growth of our Embedded Finance proposition.
- Working closely with the Business Development Senior Manager and a range of stakeholders across Commercial, Product, Risk and Finance teams, you'll help build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective partners, support merchant acquisition activity and contribute to bringing new opportunities from initial engagement through to launch.
- You'll play an important role in developing partner relationships, supporting commercial proposals and onboarding new merchants, ensuring opportunities are delivered effectively and in line with governance requirements.
- You'll use customer insight, market knowledge and commercial thinking to help identify growth opportunities and deliver positive outcomes for partners, customers and the business.

What we're looking for
- 3+ years' experience in business development, sales, partnerships or merchant acquisition roles.
- Experience building and managing commercial relationships, identifying new opportunities and delivering business growth.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence colleagues, partners and customers.
- Experience developing customer-focused solutions, commercial proposals or partnership opportunities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple stakeholders.
- A growth mindset, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
And any experience of this would be great

- Experience within Embedded Finance, fintech, payments or broader financial services.
- Experience across transport, mobility, automotive, lifestyle, home or adjacent partnership-led sectors.
- Experience supporting merchant onboarding, partner implementation or product integration activities.
- Experience working with commercial, product or proposition teams to bring new opportunities to market. We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds.
