Business Development Manager - Engineering Staffing Solutions

We’re seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing team, specializing in engineering staffing solutions across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and technology.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead New Business Development Initiatives: Identify, develop, and close engineering service deals on a new business basis within the Automotive sector including both new logo's (80%) and expanding existing client relationships (20%) to further build out Segula’s footprint in the UK.
- Strategic Sales: Own the sales cycle from lead generation (in conjunction with marketing) to contract negotiation and closing up to & including the C-Suite. You'll create and execute effective strategies to target and engage high-potential clients across Automotive.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organisations. Understand client needs, business challenges, and provide tailored engineering staffing solutions to address those needs.
- Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging engineering technologies. Use this insight to guide sales efforts and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the other European teams to ensure proposals, contracts, and project execution are aligned with client needs.
- Revenue Growth and Targets: Achieve and exceed defined sales targets and KPIs. Continuously monitor and improve the sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth.
- Proposal Development and Presentation: Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and demonstrations, effectively communicating the value of their solutions to prospects.
- Networking and Industry Presence: Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences to build your professional network and promote the company's services. Represent the business as a thought leader within the Engineering Services space.

Requirements
- At least 5+ years of proven new business development/new logo acquisition experience within B2B Recruitment/Engineering Services sectors within the Automotive sector.
- Client Acquisition & Growth: Identify and engage new business opportunities within the engineering sector, building long-term relationships with decision-makers.
- Strategic Sales: Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to meet client needs and exceed revenue targets.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to position our services effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with recruitment teams to ensure seamless delivery of staffing solutions and client satisfaction.
- Account Management: Maintain and grow existing client accounts through regular engagement and performance reviews.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the engineering or technical industry.
- Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and workforce challenges.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
