The Role

Tapaygo is looking for a highly driven, self-motivated, and commercially minded Business Development Manager to join our sales team.

You will be responsible for developing and winning new business across Europe, working with event organisers, venues, attractions, and other partners. You will manage opportunities from initial contact through to proposal, negotiation, and contract signature, while working closely with our sales, marketing, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business revenue and contribute to the Company’s growth plans.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across Europe.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients through meetings, presentations, networking, and industry events.
  • Understand client requirements and develop relevant proposals as part of a consultative sales approach.
  • Maintain an accurate and active CRM pipeline and provide clear sales forecasts.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales process, including commercial proposals and negotiation.
  • Work with product, technology, and operations teams when developing solutions for prospective clients.
  • Ensure a clear and effective handover to Client Services and Operations once a new client is signed.
  • Meet agreed sales KPIs and revenue targets.

  • A strong and engaging communicator, with the ability to clearly explain the benefits of event technology.
  • Experience selling technology or services to senior decision-makers through presentations and face-to-face meetings.
  • Commercially minded, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A good understanding of the events landscape; existing industry relationships would be advantageous.
  • Excellent selling, presenting, and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence representing Tapaygo at client meetings, events, and industry discussions.
  • A commitment to building long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to travel across Europe as needed.
