Join Ocean Software and lead the expansion of mission-critical capability across Europe's defence sector.

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager - Europe to lead new business acquisition and strategic growth across the EMEA region. This is a senior commercial role focussed on engaging European and UK defence Forces, NATO agencies, and key industry partners, positioning Ocean's innovative platform solutions to enhance readiness, training, and operational capability.

As geopolitical priorities shift, defence organisations need faster, more integrated ways to maintain readiness. Ocean Software is already trusted in mission-critical environments. Your role is to take that capability to new markets, shape strategic programs, and convert complex opportunities into long-term partnerships.

Working within a global commercial model, you’ll partner closely with the Head of Sales and EMEA General Manager to translate global strategy into disciplined regional execution.

What You’ll Own

  • Build, qualify and convert a high-value pipeline of net-new defence opportunities across Europe
  • Design and execute capture strategies that secure complex, high-value contracts.
  • Influence senior military, government, and industry stakeholders at decision-making level
  • Lead end-to-end bids, tenders, commercial negotiations, and contract outcomes
  • Translate market intelligence into clear actionable growth strategies
  • Represent Ocean at major European defence and industry events
  • Collaborate globally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience to deliver competitive, differentiated solutions
  • Own revenue growth that directly shapes Ocean’s international expansion

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
