Business Development Manager - Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions

About the Company
Our client is a global technology organisation delivering advanced solutions across power, energy and infrastructure markets. The business is focused on supporting customers with innovative technologies and solutions that enable the transition towards more efficient and sustainable energy systems. As part of its continued growth, the business is seeking a Business Development Manager to develop opportunities within the Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions market.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for analysing the Electric Vehicle Charging Systems market ecosystem and developing commercial strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities. You will build strong relationships with key customers, manage accounts, coordinate technical and commercial bids, negotiate contracts and take ownership of pipeline project management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse the development and understand the nature of the Electric Vehicle Charging Systems market ecosystem.
- Construct business development strategies and sales plans based on your market analysis.
- Identify and report business opportunities across targeted segments, including:
- EV OEMs
- Utilities
- Charging Point Operators
- Develop strong customer relationships while acting as an account manager.
- Coordinate and manage technical and commercial bid preparation.
- Negotiate contracts.
- Manage and report on the project pipeline.
- Achieve sales targets and revenue objectives defined by business leadership.
- Represent the organisation at conferences, trade shows and industry networking events across focused markets.
- Interact with management across the wider organisation.
About You

The successful candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of technical sales experience within Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions or Battery Energy Storage Solutions.
- Excellent understanding of sales, business development and account management processes.
- Technical knowledge of:
- Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions
- Power Conditioning Systems
- Battery Energy Storage Systems
- A proven ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Strong legal understanding of contracts and the ability to negotiate.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
