About Archangel Lightworks

Archangel Lightworks is a laser communications company building wireless technology. Founded in 2017, we believe that laser communications to and from satellites is a key component of next-generation infrastructure. Our core product, the TERRA-M, is a deployable optical ground station with proven capability for space-ground data transfer.

Our team develops and operates products that advance the security and resilience of critical national infrastructure. We value compassion, resilience, curiosity, ownership, and integrity. Our scaling business is a fast-paced and supportive environment, where you can contribute to novel technology with meaningful applications like reducing the Digital Divide.

Archangel Lightworks recently closed over £10 million of investment in an oversubscribed Series A funding round. Our company is also supported by the UK Space Agency, the UK’s Department for Business Innovation Science and Trade (BIST), and the UK Ministry of Defence.

About the job

We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to accelerate market adoption of our Optical Communications Services and Products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining excellent global customer relationships, positioning Archangel Lightworks as a trusted partner in optical and hybrid RF/optical architectures.
  • Owning pipeline creation through to deal closure, shaping offers that solve real customer problems across the commercial, civil, and defence sectors.
  • Delivering a qualified opportunity pipeline across priority user groups and market segments.
  • Leading complex, multi-stakeholder pursuits, including coordination of timely responses to RFPs/RFIs, provision of proposal leadership, and application of excellent bid writing skills.
  • Representing the company at domestic and international exhibitions/conferences.
  • Building market intelligence and contribute to go-to-market strategy and planning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
