The Company
Smart Display are a well-established and respected exhibition contractor based in West Yorkshire. A rapidly growing company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of exhibition stands for our clients across the UK & Europe.
We are an ambitious team with a strong work ethic and a passion for creative ideas and building lasting relationships with our clients.
The Role
The Role of the Business Development Manager will be to develop a portfolio of new clients and contributing towards strategic growth of our business plans. We are seeking somebody that is a pro-active learner and who ideally already has experienced within the exhibition sector, or a similar industry. You will work closely with the Sales Manager to grow sales and develop strategies to increase revenue across the UK and Europe. In addition to new business development, you will also manage allocated accounts and build lasting relationships with clients.

Key Job Functions
- Performing outbound sales calls to both warm and cold prospects, focusing on new business development.
- Executing strategies with the management team and to meet revenue targets.
- Account Manager to both new and existing clients.
- Working with our in-house design team to interpret clients design briefs and to produce award-winning stand designs.
- Presenting tailored proposals and quotations to potential clients.
- Visiting exhibition venues as and when required.
- Company research and identifying new leads through industries and geographical areas.
- Building relationships with colleagues, suppliers and fellow industry professionals.
- Pro-actively keeping up to date on industry trends, ideas and applications in the current marketplace.

The Ideal Candidate
- Determined and driven self-starter with a proven track record of new business within a similar role or industry.
- Strong industry connections with potential clients, preferred.
- Confident, positive, and enthusiastic in nature.
- Excellent verbal communication (phone manner) and presentation skills including closing.
- At least 2-5 years’ experience in sales or account management.
