Description
We are looking for an experienced, proactive and self-motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to support the growth of our Academy sponsorship portfolio. This role combines elements of sales and account management. Working alongside the Senior Customer Success & Operations Executive, you will manage relationships with existing Academy sponsors while identifying opportunities to grow sponsorship revenue and expand our course offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Support the acquisition of new Academy sponsors through targeted outreach and lead generation.
- Conduct introductory calls, pitch Academy offerings, and support the full sales cycle as required.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the sponsor portfolio.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, pipelines, and data in CRM tools.
Account Management
- Support on account management of sponsors as and when required within the business.
- Regularly engage with sponsors to understand their objectives, challenges, and growth potential.
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver sponsor commitments and ensure smooth partner experiences.
- Contribute ideas to improve the Academy sponsorship model and course LMS experience.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor offerings to support commercial strategy.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2-3 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management (or similar client-facing role).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Comfortable presenting, pitching, and engaging with external stakeholders.
- Motivated by targets, results, and long-term success.
