An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing specialist contractor within the façade and external envelope sector. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional with a strong network across the construction industry and a proven track record of securing new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing relationships with main contractors, developers, architects, consultants, and key stakeholders to support continued business growth across façade and building envelope projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the façade, cladding and external envelope market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, developers, architects and specifiers.
  • Engage with project decision-makers from early design stages through to contract award.
  • Generate and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with estimating, pre-construction and technical teams to develop winning proposals.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor movements and emerging project opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
  • Deliver against agreed sales targets and growth objectives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or Key Account Manager position.
  • Strong background within facades, cladding, rainscreen, external envelope, curtain walling, roofing, building envelope, or wider construction sectors.
  • Established network of contacts across contractors, developers, architects and consultants.
  • Proven ability to generate and convert new business opportunities.
  • Commercially minded with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
