Job Title

We're hiring a driven Business Development Manager to join our client, an innovative technology business based in Manchester that is helping organisations transform the way they manage facilities, maintenance, compliance, and asset performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional to join a growing business, owning the full sales cycle and working with facilities teams, estates professionals, and operational leaders to deliver technology solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across the facilities management, property, estates, and built environment sectors.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through targeted prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship development.
  • Manage the full 360° sales cycle, from initial outreach and discovery through to negotiation, contract management, and close.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including facilities directors, estates managers, operations leaders, and compliance teams.
  • Take a consultative approach to understand customer challenges and position technology solutions that improve maintenance processes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver value throughout the customer journey.
  • Provide market feedback, customer insights, and industry trends to support product development and commercial strategy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, manage forecasting, and report on sales activity, pipeline progression, and performance.
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities within the facilities management and built environment sectors.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, or Account Management within B2B technology environments.
  • Experience selling SaaS, software platforms, or digital solutions into facilities management, property, estates, asset management, or related industries.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to generate and manage your own pipeline.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with experience managing complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to identify customer challenges and create value-based solutions.
  • Experience within CAFM, CMMS, IWMS, proptech, building compliance, or facilities technology would be highly advantageous.
