About The Role
As a Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Converting prospects into successful customers through customer sales methods such as cold calling, territory planning and scheduling structured drop-in visits with prospective clients, building partnerships with complementary local businesses and presentations.
- Forecasting sales and developing sales strategies and methods evaluating their effectiveness.
- Acting as a representative for the organisation during customer meetings and presentations.
- Maintaining customer accounts and records of sales.
- Reporting and providing feedback to management.
Job Requirements
Your experience:
This position would suit an experienced Business Development Manager and is the perfect role for someone with an impressive track record in a sales role, who is confident with a consultative sell, and who can demonstrate success in new business development and client acquisition.

- Great confidence and the ability to accept rejection and maintain a positive mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Active listening skills and the ability to understand the customer’s needs.
- Ability to manage own workload and diary effectively using own initiative.
- Proficiency with computer software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- In-depth understanding of an organisation’s products and unique selling facts.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
- Full clean UK driving licence with the flexibility and willingness to travel throughout the UK when appropriate and able.

Working Hours
- Mon–Thurs: 8:30am–5:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am–3:00pm — start your weekend early!
