Business Development Manager - Finance Software

Location: Hessle, East Yorkshire / Hybrid Working
Compensation: Competitive Salary + Uncapped Commission + Car Allowance/Company Car

Our Finance Software division delivers cloud ERP, automation, business intelligence and integration solutions that provide customers with greater control, improved visibility and real-time business insights.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our expanding sales team.

The Role

This is a senior sales position focused on developing new business opportunities and driving growth within our Finance Software division.

You will engage with Finance Directors, CFOs, Managing Directors and senior stakeholders, helping organisations modernise their finance operations through innovative cloud-based technology solutions. Working alongside our Pre-Sales Consultants, Implementation Specialists and Vendor Partners, you will manage opportunities from initial engagement through to contract completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Finance Directors, CFOs, CEOs and business owners.
  • Lead consultative discovery meetings to understand customer challenges and objectives.
  • Present and demonstrate Spectrum's finance software solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, tenders and business cases.
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Maintain CRM records, forecasts and reporting.
  • Support and mentor less experienced members of the sales team.
  • Represent Spectrum at industry events and networking opportunities.

About You

You will be an ambitious and results-driven sales professional with a strong track record of selling business software and technology solutions.

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' successful B2B technology sales experience.
  • Experience selling Finance Software, ERP, SaaS or Digital Transformation solutions.
  • Proven success managing complex consultative sales processes.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and C-suite decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • CRM pipeline management experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
