Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours

Location: Field (Southeast London)
Please note: This role involves regular travel across the region, occasional overnight stays, and periodic visits to our Head Office in Nottingham.

Salary: Up to £55k + £6k car allowance

We're looking for a talented Business Development Manager (Field) to join our expanding Mortgage Intermediary team. You'll own and grow relationships with some of our most important Tier 1 intermediary partners, unlocking new opportunities, driving mortgage growth and ensuring Nottingham Building Society remains front of mind in the market.

Whether you're an experienced Field BDM, Telephone BDM or a mortgage professional ready to step into a bigger relationship-led role, you'll join a high-performing team where your impact will be seen, valued and rewarded.

Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Business Development Manager (Field) at Nottingham Building Society:

  • Grow mortgage lending through strategic intermediary partnerships.
  • Build and manage relationships with key Tier 1 broker firms across the South East.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive account growth.
  • Support brokers with enquiries, case discussions and market insight.
  • Manage pipeline activity, opportunities and follow-up actions.
  • Share broker and competitor feedback to influence products and services.
  • Represent the Society at events, launches and partner meetings.
  • Collaborate across Sales, Product, Credit and Marketing to deliver results.
  • Ensure strong customer outcomes, regulatory compliance and risk management.

About you:

  • Experience as a Telephone or Field BDM, or within a broker-facing mortgage/financial services role.
  • A track record of building relationships, developing accounts and uncovering new business opportunities.
  • Commercial awareness, strong influencing skills and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to use data and market insight to spot opportunities and drive growth.
  • A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Strong organisation skills, adaptability and a collaborative team mindset.
  • Social confidence and credibility, with the ability to build trust and earn respect across the intermediary market.
  • CeMAP or equivalent – desirable
