Business Development Manager – FMCG
Location: Multiple locations through the UK
Salary: £30,000–£34,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Commission
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Parna Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established FMCG business looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to its field sales team. This is a territory-based role focused on developing business with independent retailers and the convenience channel.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being out in the field, building relationships, opening new accounts and growing sales across an existing territory.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and developing your own sales territory
- Selling FMCG products into independent retailers and convenience stores
- Winning new business and developing existing accounts
- Building strong, long-term relationships with retailers
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales, distribution and product visibility
- Helping retailers understand the product range and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensuring strong in-store presence and effective use of POS
- Planning your territory effectively and working towards monthly sales targets
- Developing a strong understanding of your local market and competitor activity

What We're Looking For
We’re particularly interested in people with experience in FMCG field sales. You may currently be working as a:
- Business Development Manager
- Territory Sales Manager
- Area Sales Manager
- Field Sales Executive
- Business Development Executive
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous FMCG sales experience
- Experience selling into independent retail, convenience, wholesale or a similar channel
- A proven track record of developing new business and growing existing accounts
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- A commercial and target-driven approach
- Good territory planning and time-management skills
- A proactive, resilient personality
- A full UK driving licence
