Join Ecolab’s sales team as a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) in the Life Sciences market (Northern UK, ideally based in the Leeds area)

Ecolab Life Sciences is focused on developing and commercializing cleaning & disinfection solutions for Global manufacturers within the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Industries. What Will You Do:

  • Drive new customer acquisition with a hunter approach to expand our market presence in cosmetic industries
  • Manage significant deal volume and target account pipelines
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, targeting prioritized opportunities
  • Respond to inbound lead generation, leverage sales experience and skills to close new accounts
  • Leverage knowledge of UK pharmaceutical industry and sales experience to establish credibility with current and prospective customers, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and competitors
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts to inform management's strategic decision-making, and to reflect appropriate management of the territory and sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to win new business
  • Actively participate in strategic industry seminars, trade shows and conferences to establish new contacts, generate leads and stay informed about pharmaceutical industry developments

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Science) or related field
  • 6+ years successful technical sales or outside sales experience utilizing a consultative sales approach
  • Ideally prior experience working in industrial environments (in Personal Care)
  • Willingness to travel within UK
  • Strong interpersonal, intercultural & relationship skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Analytical skills combined with an inquisitive nature, strong learning agility, and a proactive hands-on approach
  • Project management, organizational and planning skills
