Foodservice Development Manager

We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Foodservice Development Manager to join our Foodservice Sales team covering the UK. You will be responsible for identifying, winning and developing new foodservice business, delivering significant growth across the country by focusing on larger contract customers, multi-site operators and group accounts.

This is a high-profile role focused on acquiring new customers and delivering annualised new business. You will play a key role in expanding Bestway's presence across multi-site operators within hospitality, leisure, healthcare, education and contract catering sectors.

Reporting into the Head of Foodservice Contracts this role will lead, develop and implement the business development strategy in the target markets, identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new contract and multi-site group foodservice customers in the agreed sectors/geographies
  • Develop relationships with customers with a view to long-term opportunities
  • Create business development plans for new geographies and/or market sectors that identify opportunities and what Bestway needs to do to be successful
  • Maintain updates to the sales pipeline providing tangible updates on actions taken and opportunities identified and forecasts against sales target
  • Develop commercial proposals for customers covering price, operational capabilities tailored to their requirements
  • Work with the buying team to review the range to identify opportunities that will support growth
  • Review competitor activity and provide summaries of what they are doing, opportunities and threats to Bestway activity via support through tender portals.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms aligned to company policy.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of the foodservice sector and particular, contract and multi-site operators
  • Experienced sales / business development individual
  • Commercially driven and results orientated
  • Ability to work with data and drive data-led decision making
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Puts the customer first across all activity
  • Knowledge of tender proposition
  • Knowledge of framework agreements
