Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll drive growth across the Business Travel sector by developing strategic relationships, winning new business and increasing revenue across Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and Corporate customers.
You’ll combine commercial expertise with a passion for sustainable travel, helping organisations achieve their travel goals while highlighting the environmental, social and governance (ESG) benefits of rail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ambitious revenue and growth targets across TMC and Corporate accounts.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive account management and modal-shift initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and enhance our industry presence.
- Manage a healthy sales pipeline and identify opportunities for growth.
- Use market, customer and performance insights to inform commercial strategies.
- Develop business development and marketing plans and support contract negotiations.
- Present performance updates and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.

About You
You’ll be a commercially driven relationship-builder with a proven track record of delivering results.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in business development, sales or account management within Business Travel.
- A strong track record of revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and networking skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to convert opportunities.
- Experience with CRM systems, sales reporting and procurement processes.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work collaboratively.
