Jo Holdsworth Recruitment are excited to be recruiting a Business Development Manager for an established Leeds-based professional services business.

This is a confidential opportunity within a growing organisation. You’ll take ownership of new business development, strategic partnerships, and long-term client relationships across the UK.

The role

You’ll identify new commercial opportunities and build relationships with professional partners and key decision-makers.

  • Create a focused sales plan
  • Develop a strong pipeline
  • Support the business’s wider growth strategy
  • Represent the business at networking events and industry conferences across the UK

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities
  • Build long-term relationships with referral partners
  • Create and deliver a clear sales strategy
  • Research market trends and competitor activity
  • Manage and report on your sales pipeline
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing and operational teams
  • Support a positive client experience throughout the sales process

What we’re looking for

You’ll have proven experience across business development, sales, or account management.

  • Know how to build trust, open new conversations, and turn relationships into commercial opportunities
  • Experience within property, financial services, or another partnership-led sector would support your application

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A commercial and strategic mindset
  • Confidence managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • A track record of achieving sales targets
  • The ability to work independently

Location and travel

The role is based in Leeds and requires travel across the UK. Regular access to the Leeds office would be advantageous.
