Role Description

This full-time hybrid Business Development Manager role is based in Cardiff, with a mix of on-site work and some flexibility to work from home. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, and support the growth of consumer services offerings.

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Researching market trends
  • Generating and qualifying leads
  • Preparing proposals
  • Presenting solutions that align with client requirements

The role involves close collaboration with internal teams to refine service offerings, negotiate terms, and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients. The Business Development Manager will also monitor performance metrics, provide regular reports, and contribute to strategic planning to achieve sales and revenue targets.

  • Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and negotiation.
  • Experience in client relationship management and stakeholder engagement within consumer services or related sectors.
  • Proficiency in market research, data analysis, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Comfort with CRM systems and common office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, email platforms).
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet performance targets in a hybrid environment.
  • Relevant experience in business development, account management, or sales; prior experience in financial or payment services is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
