The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth across same-day courier and logistics services. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll take ownership of your pipeline—identifying opportunities, developing relationships, and converting prospects into long-term, profitable customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, research, and approach new prospects across target sectors.
  • Generate and attend your own sales appointments, supported by the internal sales team.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline, converting opportunities into long-term, profitable accounts.
  • Understand customer operational requirements and present tailored same-day solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals, tenders, and presentations.
  • Negotiate effectively to secure business while maintaining strong profit margins.

Requirements

  • Proven success in B2B new business sales.
  • Strong track record within the same-day courier market (experience in next day, pallet networks, or wider transport logistics also considered).
  • Results-driven mindset with a determination to exceed targets.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to generate your own opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
