Business Development Manager – Road Freight – Leeds
£35,000 - £50,000 pa base salary (depending on experience) + uncapped commission scheme, plus £5467.76 car allowance

What we’re looking for:
A Business Development Manager to join our thriving sales team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, sales driven individual to join our fast-paced Road Freight division. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining your customer base within your allocated area/location while ensuring that you are meeting your monthly GP targets.
As a Business Development Manager your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining your customer base within your allocated area/location.
- Source sales leads using the company’s in-house CMS, or other sources of information.
- Make telesales calls (outbound) to potential clients to profile and qualifying the prospect, using your knowledge of the Europa product portfolio.
- Visit potential customers and prepare quotations for presentation to the customer.
- For the first 6 months, manage the accounts in your business base by maintaining and developing the levels of business within that client base, ideally with the aim of becoming the sole supplier.
- Make regular contact with your customers pro-actively to ensure that we are satisfying the needs of the customer and with a mind to developing further business opportunities from within that account.
- After developing the account for 6 months to win the most business possible, you will hand the account to customer service to ensure the balance to win new customers remains.

What we offer in return?
- £35,000 - £50,000 base salary! (depending on experience)
- £5,467.76 car allowance!
- On target bonus of:
- £3000 in year 1
- £9750 in year 2
- £11,250 in year 3

What you will bring to the role as a Business Development Manager:
- A strong, confident, and resilient personality
- Must have a full UK driving license.
- Field sales freight experience desired, but not essential.
- Passionate about sales and customer service.
- The ability to work well and thrive under pressure, within a targeted environment.
- Have fantastic communication skills both written and verbal
- Be eager to learn, develop and excel in your career within sales.
