Verloop Ltd operates across food, agriculture, and industrial supply chains to help organizations manage complex by-products, surplus materials, and challenging recovery routes with greater visibility and control. The company combines operational delivery with data, systems, and AI-enabled tools to improve real-time tracking and understanding of materials. Through its Verloop Vision platform, Verloop is developing solutions that support clearer decision-making, stronger reporting, and more connected supply chains. As regulatory and commercial expectations evolve, Verloop focuses on enabling businesses to meet these demands efficiently and sustainably.

Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Partney, responsible for driving commercial growth across Verloop’s target sectors. This role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, and managing the sales pipeline from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with operations and product teams to understand client needs, translate them into viable solutions, and support the design of proposals and pricing models. Day-to-day activities include conducting market research, preparing presentations and proposals, attending client meetings and industry events, and providing regular reporting on performance and opportunities. The role also includes contributing to go-to-market strategies, refining commercial processes, and representing Verloop’s capabilities and values in external engagements.

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or commercial management, ideally within supply chain, logistics, sustainability, or related sectors.
  • Strong skills in lead generation, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and closing deals, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to conduct market and customer research, analyze data, and use insights to shape outreach strategies and commercial proposals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels in client organizations.
  • Comfort working with data-driven and technology-enabled solutions, including familiarity with CRM systems and basic analytical tools.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with operations, product, and leadership teams and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of food, agriculture, industrial materials, or circular economy principles is an advantage.
