Business Development Manager – LAN / Structured Cabling

South East & London

£60,000 basic + £72,000 OTE + Company Car or Car Allowance

Are you an experienced sales professional from the structured cabling, data infrastructure, networking or telecoms sector who thrives on winning new business?

We are recruiting for an established manufacturer of high-quality copper and fibre structured cabling solutions, looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to develop new project opportunities across London and the South East.

This is a genuine new business / project hunting role. You’ll be identifying commercial and public sector projects, developing relationships with key decision-makers and working closely with an established network of telecoms distributors and channel partners to convert opportunities into orders.

Projects can range from around £10,000 through to £1 million, so we’re looking for someone comfortable developing both shorter-term opportunities and larger, more complex projects.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identifying and developing new LAN and infrastructure cabling projects across London and the South East.
  • Building relationships with commercial and public sector end users, consultants, contractors and other key project stakeholders.
  • Working closely with telecoms distributors and approved channel partners to maximise project opportunities.
  • Developing a strong pipeline of new business and managing opportunities from initial enquiry through to order.
  • Supporting resellers, installers and specification partners to ensure projects are successfully converted.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline and customer activity information through CRM.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
