Swift Management Services Limited also provides systems reviews, regulator support, and catering advice and training, offering tailored solutions to meet the needs of diverse care providers.

Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ilford. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the health and social care sector, building and maintaining relationships with care providers, and promoting the company’s advisory and consultancy services. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with internal consultants to align service offerings with client needs, track performance against targets, and provide regular reports on pipeline and sales activity. The role also involves:

  • Representing the company at industry events
  • Contributing to marketing initiatives
  • Supporting long-term client partnerships

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within health and social care, consulting, or professional services.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, stakeholder management, and client communication to engage care providers and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Ability to conduct market research, analyze opportunities, and create effective business development plans and proposals.
  • Competence in contract negotiation, pricing discussions, and closing deals while maintaining ethical and professional standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear presentations, reports, and documentation.
  • Solid organizational, time-management, and planning skills to manage multiple opportunities and meet agreed targets.
  • Comfort with using CRM systems, office productivity tools, and basic data analysis to track and report business performance.
  • Knowledge of UK care sector regulation (e.g., CQC, CIW, CIS) or strong willingness to learn and apply regulatory understanding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with consulting and operational teams and to contribute to strategic business initiatives.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in business, management, health and social care, or a related field is advantageous.
