Business Development Manager – Commercial Air Conditioning & M&E
Location: London & Surrounding areas (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: Competitive Basic + Uncapped Commission + Company Vehicle/Allowance + Bonus

At Core Engineering Services Group Ltd, we specialise in delivering high-quality commercial air conditioning, HVAC and mechanical & electrical solutions across London and the South East. Working alongside leading Facilities Management companies and blue-chip organisations, we provide installation, planned maintenance, reactive repairs and major project works across a wide range of commercial buildings. Our engineers are F-GAS qualified with extensive industry experience, delivering exceptional technical expertise and customer service.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager with a strong background in commercial air conditioning to help drive the next stage of our expansion.
The Role
This is a high-impact position focused on generating new business opportunities and developing long-term relationships with Facilities Management companies, property management organisations, consultants, end users and commercial building owners.
You will identify opportunities for:
- Air conditioning maintenance contracts
- HVAC installations and refurbishment projects
- Chiller, VRV/VRF and critical cooling solutions
- Mechanical & Electrical maintenance contracts
- Reactive and planned maintenance services
- Capital replacement projects

Working closely with our technical and commercial teams, you will develop tailored proposals that demonstrate the value Core Engineering brings through technical excellence, responsiveness and long-term partnership.
Responsibilities
- Generate new commercial opportunities across London and the UK.
- Build relationships with FM companies, managing agents and end clients.
- Identify upcoming HVAC and M&E projects.
- Attend client meetings, surveys and networking events.
- Prepare quotations and commercial proposals.
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle.
- Achieve agreed sales and gross profit targets.
- Maintain an active CRM pipeline.
- Represent Core Engineering professionally within the industry.
About You
We're looking for someone who understands commercial HVAC—not just sales.
Essential:
- Proven Business Development or Sales experience within commercial air conditioning or HVAC.
- Strong understanding of commercial AC systems including VRF/VRV, chillers, split systems and AHUs.
- Existing relationships within Facilities Management, Property Management or Building Services.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to winning business.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:
- M&E or Building Services experience.
- Experience tendering maintenance contracts.
- Knowledge of F-GAS legislation and commercial maintenance requirements.
- Existing network of FM decision makers.
