Are you a highly connected Business Development professional with a passion for building senior-level relationships and uncovering commercial opportunities?
The Talent Division is delighted to be partnering with a leading professional services organisation as they look to appoint an ambitious Business Development Manager to join their growing Sheffield team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual who thrives on developing strategic partnerships, generating new business, and working with senior decision-makers across the professional services sector.
While this is a newly created role, you'll be managing an established network of key contacts including Accountants, Lawyers, Lenders and other professional introducers, whilst identifying larger, more complex opportunities requiring multi-service solutions for clients operating in the mid-market space.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will:
- Develop and nurture relationships with Accountancy Practices, Law Firms, Financial Institutions and other key referral partners.
- Build trusted relationships with Partners, Directors and senior stakeholders across the region.
- Identify and win new business opportunities, driving revenue growth across a wide range of professional service offerings.
- Work closely with specialist teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients facing complex business challenges.
- Create and implement strategic growth plans to expand market presence and referral networks.
- Represent the business at networking events, seminars, industry forums and client functions.
- Track opportunities, manage pipelines and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Provide market insight to senior leadership on trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.

We're keen to speak to individuals who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record in business development within professional services, insolvency, restructuring, corporate finance, accountancy, legal services, banking or financial services.
- Experience managing and growing senior-level referral relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand complex business situations.
- The confidence and credibility to engage with Partners, Directors and business owners.
- Excellent networking, communication and influencing skills.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to manage your own portfolio and pipeline.
Highly Desirable
- Existing relationships across the regional professional services market.
- Knowledge of insolvency, restructuring or corporate finance.
- Exposure to mid-market transactions or advisory-led environments.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary professional services business.
