Business Development Manager

The Role

Drive growth in high-potential industrial markets by identifying and converting new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Development: Identify and qualify opportunities in high-growth sectors. Build a pipeline aligned with strategic growth zones. Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis.
  • Sales Execution: Drive RFQ generation and conversion from new markets. Develop proposals and negotiate contracts. Contribute to revenue, bookings, and install base growth.
  • Relationships: Build long-term stakeholder relationships. Represent company at industry events. Navigate complex buying centres.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Service to align solutions with customer needs. Bring VOC into strategy. Identify lifecycle opportunities post-sale.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Strong experience in industrial B2B sales focused on emerging or technical markets. Die casting, cooling, energy, infrastructure, or gas tech experience highly desirable. Knowledge on products such as Pumps, Valves, and Actuators is preferred.
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of hydraulic applications, cooling, and energy infrastructure. Translates technical capabilities into customer value.
  • Commercial Orientation: Skilled in pricing, margin analysis, and ROI cases. Comfortable negotiating high-value contracts and long sales cycles.
  • Strategic Insight: Proficient in market mapping, trend analysis, and identifying whitespace. Uses data and VOC to guide targeting.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Works across Engineering, Finance, Service, and Marketing.
  • Customer Engagement: Builds trust with engineers, procurement, and executives. Communicates clearly.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Thrives in fast-paced markets.
