Are you a seasoned B2B consultative seller with experience in an HCM, HR Tech, Consulting environment? Do you have proven experience selling to HR and C level decision makers and owning the sales process from prospecting through to close? Do you have a hunter mindset with a proactive approach to pipeline development, lead generation and demonstrable negotiation skills? If so we have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager. Your role in either role is to open doors, establish SHL’s value from day one, and create a strong foundation for long-term partnerships aided by our world-class pre-sales and marketing teams.

What You Will Be Doing
- Identify and qualify net-new global customer opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals and marketing activity
- Own the full sales cycle for new customers, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, contract negotiation and closure, partnering with pre-sales, product and marketing to design tailored solutions
- Engage HR and C-level stakeholders through consultative selling to diagnose needs and position SHL’s value proposition.
- Assist the Account Director in uncovering and closing upsell and expansion opportunities within assigned global accounts
- Ensure a smooth handoff of new customers to the AM and CEM teams post-deployment, providing necessary context and transition guidance.
- Maintain CRM hygiene and opportunity tracking in Salesforce to assist forecasting and reporting.
- Monitor and assess the competitive landscape to position SHL effectively.
- Represent SHL as a thought leader in talent assessment and HR tech at industry events, webinars, and prospect meetings.

Essential
What we are looking for from you:
- German and English language skills
- Considerable experience in B2B outbound, consultative sales in an HCM environment
- Proven experience selling to HR and/or C-level decision makers
- Demonstrated experience of owning the sales process from prospecting through to close
- Knowledge of enterprise sales tools (Salesforce, pricing calculators, proposal builders).
- Effective collaborator and organized, with a high level of proactivity and follow-through.
Desirable:
- SaaS, HR Tech, Consulting sales
- Hunter mindset and demonstrable negotiation know-how.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative selling experience
- Comfortable navigating large organizations to identify and engage key stakeholders
