Business Development Manager

Verifile is an award-winning leading provider of CV verification and background screening services using innovative technology and methodology. We carry out background checks on candidates to enable our clients to make informed and long-term rewarding recruitment decisions.
As a Business Development Manager at Verifile, you’ll be at the heart of winning new business, building your own pipeline and developing relationships with senior stakeholders. From identifying opportunities through to securing new contracts, you’ll take ownership of the sales journey and play a key role in growing our customer base.
About the role:
- Proactively generate outbound sales, creating and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
- Adapt your communication style and approach to resonate with each prospect’s needs, challenges and buying behaviour.
- Build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in complex, enterprise-level accounts, inspiring trust in Verifile’s value.
- Use market intelligence, prospect data, CRM and multiple sales channels to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Use technology and AI tools to sharpen your prospecting approach.
- Represent Verifile at industry events and relevant forums, expanding your network and uncovering new business opportunities.

The must haves:
- A proven track record of sales success in HR, SaaS or a related field, with an understanding of compliance, security, APIs and integrations.
- A commercial mindset, with experience closing large and enterprise deals and focusing effort on the opportunities that matter most.
- Experience presenting and negotiating commercial proposals with senior decision-makers.
- Experience using AI or sales enablement tools to improve prospecting, forecasting or sales performance.
- Working knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience managing multiple live enterprise deals while maintaining momentum across each opportunity.
The nice to haves:
- A detailed understanding of background screening processes, products and operations.
- A track record of exceeding targets when selling SaaS products.
