Business Development Manager - Final Mile Logistics (Tech-Enabled Platform)

Location: Remote / UK-wide with travel to Manchester when needed

Package: £50,000 – £55,000 base + 100% OTE (uncapped commission on revenue & margin)

Full-time, permanent

Hunt. Close. Repeat.

Our client is a fast-scaling, tech-enabled logistics business shaking up the final mile. Customers book jobs directly through a portal or API, no clunky phone-and-email ping-pong, no bloated middle layer. The platform works. The ops team delivers. What they need now is someone to go out and win the market.

This is a hunter role, not a farming role. You'll own the full sales cycle end to end: prospect, discover, demo, negotiate, close, onboard. If you like the buzz of a signed account far more than the comfort of a slow corporate process, keep reading.

What you'll own

  • New business, front and centre. Target ideal customers across SME and mid-market, and build a consistent outbound pipeline through cold outreach, referrals, networking and lead follow-up.
  • Fixed routes and recurring volume. Run structured discovery on volume, service needs, booking frequency and margin potential — then sell a fixed-route solution that sticks.
  • The full cycle. From first contact to contracted or committed recurring revenue, plus early account establishment.
  • Reactivations. Dig into the dormant account database, diagnose why they stopped, and reposition the offer.
  • Platform adoption. Push self-serve booking, portal usage and API integration; work with ops to kill the friction that causes manual intervention.
  • Your numbers. Weekly reporting on new revenue, pipeline value, automation % and churn risk, with a clean HubSpot pipeline and a forecast people can actually trust.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • New accounts self-serving and booking automatically as standard
