Business Development Manager

What you'll be doing:
The Business Development Manager will lead on provider selection processes including RFP, pitch and site visits. Working across multiple internal departments to pull together compelling solutions that showcase why People’s Pension are best placed to meet the clients needs.
New Business Acquisition & Strategic Engagement
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new workplace pension schemes and assets.
- Build and maintain high-trust relationships with key Corporate Advisers and EBCs
- Position The People's Pension as the preferred provider through consistent, credible engagement.
- Strong pipeline management utilising CRM system

Relationship Management
- High quality key stakeholder management across a panel of EBCs and CAs.
- Ensure new business is nurtured through open, transparent communication.
- Support retention efforts by reinforcing The People's Pension’s value proposition and service excellence.
Market Intelligence & Proposition Development
- Provide feedback from advisers and clients to inform proposition and service enhancements.
- Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
- Maintain business plans and insights to inform internal stakeholders and drive propositional competitiveness and currency
Collaboration & Influence
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of sales, service, and marketing efforts.
- Represent the business externally at industry events and forums to enhance brand visibility.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in workplace pensions and savings
- Strong understanding of UK DC pensions and market dynamics
- Proven track record in new business acquisition
- Relationship management with EBCs and Cas
- Strategic sales planning and execution
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Experience in proposition development or service design
