Location: Gateshead/Middlesbrough based (expected to cover North East)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving new client growth and expanding our presence across health and social care recruitment. This is a fast-paced, people-focused role for someone who thrives on winning business, building strong relationships, and delivering results in a competitive market.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving new business growth by identifying, targeting, and winning new clients across the healthcare and social care sector.
- Owning the full sales cycle – from prospecting and lead generation through to pitching, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers across NHS Trusts, care homes, private healthcare providers, and local authorities.
- Working closely with internal recruitment teams to ensure a smooth handover and delivery of tailored workforce solutions.
- Attending industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings to grow your market presence.
- Staying up to date with market trends to identify opportunities and shape effective recruitment solutions.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within recruitment or a healthcare-related sector.
- Strong track record of generating your own leads and converting them into long-term business relationships.
- Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Target-driven, self-motivated, and energised by hitting and exceeding goals.
- A relationship-builder who takes pride in delivering excellent client service.
